Interactive Marketing Spending in the Future
August 30th, 2011
Industry watchers suggest that in the next few years interactive marketing will constitute a hefty chunk of marketing spending and that online interactive marketing might approach the amount of money currently spent on television advertising. Within five years it’s expected that the amount of money spent on such online and seo company ventures as display advertising, email marketing, social media networking and the always important search marketing will grow to over a third of all spending on advertising. The increased popularity of mobile marketing is also likely to enhance that number even further.
This growth in interactive media and the commitment of so many marketing dollars toward that goal means that online marketing and all of its tangents has become a legitimate part of the marketing pie and smart companies are learning that just like investing, diversifying a marketing campaign is a great way to ensure that it’s successful and far reaching. It’s expected that digital marketing will likely include an enhanced number of audiences viewing display media since new technology is allowing marketers to offer images and impressions to a much more targeted audience than in the past.
Predictions for marketing methods such as social media include the expectation that this method of advertising will continue to grow in importance and will likely start to create crossover traffic between smart phone devices and mobile marketing since the two facets of marketing are already so closely related. People tend to access their social information and connections on a regular basis through the phone and social media networking is a prime focus for this method of communication.
