As leverage has dropped in the investment banking industry, it is becoming a lot harder to make money or to even avoid losing money on trading. That is why it has become even more important to invest in technology for trading platforms so that the bank will be able to make money in an increasingly difficult environment. Today, it’s much harder to make money. That means technology has to be there to make up the difference.
