no place like home

so, my winter vacation is over. I made it in one piece from Orange County, California to Sun Valley, Idaho and back. Other than an unanticipated bus trip from Twin Falls Airport (thanks, Sun Valley Airport) and a minor panic attack due to a power outage (on Christmas eve! For 12 hours! With no heat!!!) but overall, it was a beautiful trip. If you ever get the chance to go to Sun Valley, whether its in the winter or summer, do it. At the risk of sounding totally cheesy, it is a magical place.

Oh, and we saw Arnold Schwarrzenegger- he has a house there. My dad can't stand him and was about to throw a snowball at him when we noticed the secret service, so he let that one go.

I have a ton more photos- mostly of the sights and of my crazy family doing odd things after drinking too much eggnogg, so check out my flickr for more of that.

I hope everyone had a spectacular holiday and a great new year to come. Thanks for reading!

I find myself wearing only stripes and jeans now. Funny that I should run across this photo this morning on jakandjil. Maybe it's the jean seberg effect?
