Shoe Porn with Totokaelo

Ah, shame on me. I have a shoe problem. But I've been doing pretty good lately as far as I've gotten rid of more shoes than I've bought. Although shoes still take up 50% of my closet space. I think I once counted 75 pairs. Emelda Marcos style. It's a bit embarrassing.

But I think shoes are a key thing in life. If your feet hurt, you are most likely miserable. At least I know I am. And comfortable shoes are great, but ugly comfortable shoes...not so much.

Which is why I LOVE the totokaelo.com shoe selection. I lust after these APC half boots. But the price keeps me in check.

However, when I saw these You Must Create suede oxfords on forestbound last week, I knew I had to have them. And the price was decent. And I waited almost a WHOLE week- still wanted them. So I got them!

Hopefully they'll fit. Italian sizes scare me.

Anyway, they fit perfectly into my menswear obsession- can't wait to pair these with some Thom Brown-esque trousers and a shrunken schoolboy blazer. So haaaavaaaard.

Happy Tuesday!

Curse my big feet. The shoes of my dreams are currently listed on etsy, albeit in a size 5.5. Someone with small feet please buy these, wear them, and love them as I would, if my feet only would have stopped growing when I was 7.

sprouts

bean sprouts that is. And these babies are homegrown.

It's incredible easy to grow your own sprouts. These are classic bean sprouts, but you can grow alfalpha (my favorite) as well. All you need is a mason jar with a cheesecloth rubber-banded over the top. Rinse and drain the seeds in the jar each day and PRESTO! (5 days later) you have sprouts. SOOOO good in a salad or on an avocado sandwich. Mmmhmmm.

Yahtzee

So, what do you do in a small surfing town once all (three) of the bars are closed and the weather sucks?

Yahtzee baby.

The Field House

I wish the Field House were my house. Or at least, a store within driving distance.

They have everything I would ever want in my closet, my house, my kitchen, and my life in one store.

This may call for a trip to Seattle. I've always wanted to see the Spaceneedle anyway.
