i just ran across an interesting online article about the 'rising stars' of fashion blogging. 3 out of 4 were models. Actual, working signed models. The 4th definitely could be.
I know its only natural that clothes look better on models. duh.
But some of these 'rising stars of online fashion blogging' seem to be simply regurgitating previously styled looks, many times straight off other blogs. Nothing inventive. Nothing unique. Nothing interesting. It seems to be a case of they look good in anything, therefore they must be amazing!
It's not to say models can't be creative and inspiring in their own right as a blogger. Jen at
Gnarlitude is a perfect example of a model with a unique style, and a justified successful fashion blog.
I hate to bring down other bloggers, as I appreciate anyone who puts themselves out there. but sometimes it gets under my skin that a lot of people's hard work and innovation gets overlooked because of the size of their thighs.
Just a thought. Feel free to disagree with me. I'll even open up the comments on this one.
