A Sunday funday

Jumbo (My Mr.) and I went exploring today around town. We checked out the old Casino, built in the 1920s. Here's a shot of what it looked like in it's heyday:

It's scheduled to be demolished, which is kind of sad. This building and the one next door, an old theater from the 30s called the Miramar are both going to be removed to make way for a new shopping center. The center is really planned to be gorgeous, utilizing green and eco-friendly construction and spanish style architecture, but its too bad the buildings can't be saved.

So before they are gone, we took some photos. I got this dress from a little vintage store in Newport, which I frequent whenever I get paid! The brooch is from etsy, and I'm thinking of turning it into a necklace.

Oh and the boots are also vintage. I just love my ropers. So comfy. I wish I could wear them everyday, but I don't think that's exactly business attire!

Also exciting: Finally all moved in to our new house! I'm doing a paint by numbers painting collage on the living room wall, which Jumbo is skeptical about, but I think it'll look awesome. Also got my great grandparents furniture set! From the 30s and totally adorable. I'll post some pictures soon!

Ciao for now~ xoxo

Ooh, can't wait to see the pictures of all your vintage furniture! I bet it'll look great with the wall mural (which I'm also quite curious about). Hope you had a great weekend!
